Country Fabrics and Quilting...fall Quilt Sampler 2011 top 10 shop!

   We've had this secret for quite some time, its been hard to keep our lips sealed but now we can finally spill the beans. After 41 years in business, we'll be featured as one of the top 10 quilt shops in the fall issue of Better Homes and Gardens Quilt Sampler!

     Competition to be included in Quilt Sampler is keen. Nearly 3,000 quilt shops were eligible to apply for this years honor. We and the other 10 shops that were chosen have been photographed and interviewed by a team from the Quilt Sampler and a multi-page profile of our shop will appear in the fall issue, on newsstands September 6th, 2011. We've chosen one of our original shop designs for our featured quilt, made with Tula Pink Parisville fabrics. (shown above and kits will be available!) The full sized pattern will appear in the magazine. We're accepting pre-orders on the magazine, so be sure to reserve your signed copy today! 

     We have our official certificate on display in the shop along with our staff photo. We'll have our quilt in the shop soon as well. Stop in!   

     Be sure to mark your calender for our celebration party the week of September 6th. We'll have a magazine 'coming out' party, where the first 100 people in the door will receive a goody bag full of, well goodies. You can pick up your signed copy of the mag, we'll serve refreshments and I'm sure some of Debs 'world famous' homemade cookies. More to follow as the time nears.  

    Thank you to all who have supported us for the past 4 decades and to all of those who are in our 'quilting/sewing family'. We could not have done it without you. You are a big part of why we are here and why we love this business.

    Market was a blast, it was fun to get our award and to see all the shops who will appear in the fall issue. We took lots of pictures, which I'll be posting later in the week. Tons of fun, new and exciting fabrics and patterns coming into the shop in the next few weeks, we can't hardly wait!
